The Kiwanis Club of Charlevoix was organized December 4, 1934 with 28 members. Today we are 50 plus members strong. Read More about our Club history.
The Charlevoix Kiwanis Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the lower level of the Weathervane restaurant. (For out-of- towners, that's just North of the "Bridge" in downtown Charlevoix.) Visitors are welcome.
Kiwanis Clubs should not only be seen as a social or business clubs, but one that is here that provides service for our young people. Our Club's main focus is to help our community's youth providing sponsored programs to elementary, middle and high school students. The Club has supported our local Boy Scout troop 11 since 1034. Read about all our Sponsored Groups.
Our support of other causes is extensive. In some cases, our support is in the form of funding, but in many cases it's hands on involvement such as our building and maintaining a cabin at Camp Daggett on Walloon Lake. Read More about Camp Daggett.
In addition to the things we do together, our individual members are active in many community service projects from the Charlevoix Public Library, the Charlevoix Area Community Pool, Churches and just about every event that takes place in the Charlevoix area. Read about Charlevoix Events.
Our services stretches well beyond our community. Our support of Michigan District Projects and Kiwanis International has impacted the lives of children around the world.
